Ok i get that youre busy but this is getting ridiculous. My map has been 99% done for weeks now, all its missing is a working brutus, but everytime i try to fix your script something else goes wrong. I have copy pasted your script countless times with each time producing the same reward error. The script is loaded with syntax errors that i have to fix everytime i repaste it, it obviously isnt being tested... The script is complicated and most of it works, but in the end its a buggy mess that wasnt tested. Latest bug is that all brutus including normal round based stand idle. Zombies dont despawn in boss room, brutus is missing sounds, doesnt give powerups, still glitches infinitely when 2 spawn at once outside the boss battle. My map's release is being held hostage by a buggy mess that will seemingly never work properly.

 First off, a lot of your problems are a result of your map in particular, and are not occurring for most people. I can only solve one problem at a time if that's all you report at a time, you just now reported a lot of problems that have been "going on for awhile" that you should have told me earlier. Right now I'm working on the YAW mapping contest and I really shouldn't be spending as much time on other scripts as I should be right now, I owe that to my group members. 

 

And I apologize for the script being untested, this script really was an afterthought I decided to do after making the easter egg script, since I had been working with Brutus earlier. I hope I don't have to remind you this is public and free so it's not as polished as something I might put in my own maps or something specific someone contacted me to work on.

 

If this is holding up your map release, you shouldn't let it. This is not meant to have maps built around it, just something as an aside for a mini-easter egg or one step of a full easter egg.

 

I know it's frustrating to have little control over this, but you can always make things quicker by being more organized and specific with the problems you encounter.

Ok heres an organized list:

Normal Brutus-

Doesnt use all of his quotes/fx, "it will never be over" No big deal

doesnt drop powerups after death

spawning more than 1 glitches infinitely

 

Boss Brutus-

zombies dont despawn

i actually tested the door once and it worked but powerup and gun rewards dont work

 

and for whatever reason the last time i tested my map brutus were all idle, could have been a random bug.

 

I can deal with all of these besides the rewards, thats why i didnt really report them until recently. i figure you are busy and i dont want to nitpick with minor stuff, but since u encouraged people testing to report stuff, i just let u know. i just really want rewards, and if u cant get them ill experiment with the door reward.

No I dont, there are a few typos that cause syntax but the rewards thing doesnt show in launcher as an error

Alright I personally tested it and I got the rewards to work again. try the script now, hopefully it will be enough and you'll be able to release your map

 

EDIT: Make sure to also replace the NSZ_brutus script

Awesome thank you so much!!!!! I just want to ask if its possible to disable the boss count Iprintlnbold as it works great during the boss battle but pops up even after killing normal brutus which is inaccurate and spoils the boss fight

 Oh shoot I'm sorry did I forget to turn that off? you can just delete every IPrintLnBold Line or put a // before it. I'll also update the post.

Yea my mistake I only searched for it in my gsc and then asked about it, i just now commented it in the brutus one. Anyway thank you so much for the script and for your work in perfecting it

For some reason when the Brutus spawns, it seems like his find_flesh isn't working. He just stands still. Not sure if I missed something or what...

 do you have the brutus spawner in your map? make sure you followed NSZ's basic radiant installation first. I believe that could possibly be your problem.

 Yes I have the brutus spawner, brutus is working fine when it spawns from NSZ's spawner randomly, but when the brutus is spawned in the struct by the script, he just sits there.
